Graviola is the Portuguese name for a plant that is grown and consumed in Latin America. It is also called the Guanabana. The graviola has a large history of being used for medicinal purposes in the Americas. It is used as an all natural remedy for fever, infections, high blood pressure and digestive problems. Through more research scientists have discovered bioactive chemicals called annonaceous acetogenins in graviola, and that these graviola compounds may be able to target cancer cells and kill them, without even interfering with the other healthy cells.
